Born in 1942, Halil was inspired by the refined elegance of French perfumery during his travels, immersing himself in its timeless traditions. His journey led to the establishment of the first aerosol deodorant and perfume production facility in 1969, marking a pivotal moment in both his personal life and the beginning of the family’s legacy in the world of luxury perfumes.
In 2015, Çetin Akat, inspired by the legacy of his father, took the next step in the family’s journey by founding Vertus. His vision was to honor the traditions passed down while combining them with modern innovations in perfumery.
